While summer has the bonus of providing ample barbeques, Christmas is glorious for the hoards of sweets that are at hand. I love baking, and why not do it with some style?
Butterick 5509 is a easy apron pattern based on historical reference; though the only thing historical about this version is the retro fabric. Isn't the Christmas print interesting? I love the twist on traditional colors. The garment pattern is easy to follow. So easy that it is totally unnecessary. I made style A and shortened it quiet a lot. In a size large, the apron circles me entirely. (Shh, it's a gift, so this is fine.) I took the liberty of adding a bound hem for some added interest.
