Simplicity 1430 has been my go to pant pattern. With as many times as the envelope has been handled, the shirt image catches my eye often. One evening, I finally took matters in my hands and cut into a piece of polyester rayon type fabric.

If a person reads the directions, the shirt is easy to make. If a person ignores all directions, including how many pieces to cut of the neckband, things could be a bit confusing. I spent way too long trying to make the neck strap work without a facing.  So, when you get around to making this shirt, cut four pieces for the neck line:  two for the front and two for the back.  Directions...I guess it is a necessary tool, sometimes.
